As we move towards a changing NHS, placing GPs at it's helm from April 2013, Pelton and Fellrose Medical Group are working hard to embrace patients as active partners in the review of health services in North Durham and to help us improve the services we provide in our main site in the Lavender Centre Pelton and our branch site in Pelton Fell.
Towards this end we have established a Patient Reference Group which meets face to face within the surgery atleast three times during the year and also a virtual PRG, who we contact from time to time via e mail. If you are unable to attend our meetings but would still like to have a say, then please join our virtual group.
We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample and need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups. At present, we have 66 members and would love to recruit some younger people to the group to make it truly representative.
Surveys will be sent out from time to time to ask how you feel about the quality of care or service you receive. All surveys will be relatively short and shouldnt take much of your time.
If you would like to become a member of our PRG, please see the following information. If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
