Doctors

Nursing Team

Nurse Practitioners

Our Nurse Practitioners play a key role in reviewing a range of ailments, such as chest infections, ear infections, abdominal pain and certain rashes. They are able to examine you, request any necessary tests and prescribe any treatment if needed.

You may be directed to seeing them if you ring for a “same day” appointment, although they do have access to discuss your care with a GP if needed.

Pharmacist

Our Practice Pharmacist supports the clinical team with any prescribing queries. They also complete the majority of medication reviews for our patients with repeat medication and is also trained in diabetes care, completing diabetic reviews for patients.

Practice Nurses

Practice Nurses are fully trained in a wide range of skills including immunisations, health promotion, contraception and management of long-term conditions e.g. advise on diet and lifestyle choices, coronary heart disease, hypertension, asthma, diabetes, smoking cessation and obesity. 

Practice Nurses can extend their skills at Diploma Level and see many patients who previously would have seen the Doctor.

The Nursing Team run various Nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease and COPD as well as providing general nursing services, dressings, removal of sutures and blood tests.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare Assistants are non-registered Nursing staff who assist in patient care and Practice related duties, as directed by and under the supervision of a Registered Healthcare Professional (including Lead Practice Nurse, Practice Manager and GPs).

Healthcare Assistants work collaboratively with the General Practice Team to meet the needs of patients, and provide essential task-orientated services like taking blood samples (phlebotomy), processing specimens, sometimes performing ECGs (to measure heart function) and spirometry (to measure lung function). 

They play a crucial role in supporting the Clinical Team, and may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Administration & Management Team

Practice Management

Jemma – Practice Manager

• Jemma manages much of the day-to-day running of the practice including, but not limited to: HR, staffing and patient-facing issues.

Richard – Business Manager

• Richard oversees many aspects of the business including, but not limited to: finance, building issues and data.

Both Richard and Jemma work together to manage the practice and plan strategically with the support of the GP partners.

Medical Administrators

All of our medical administration staff are trained care navigators, which means they will ask a small number of questions before booking appointments to ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate clinician.

The administration team take on a range of duties which include: taking calls, manning front desk, insurance reports, subject access requests, filing discharge letters, managing registrations, prescriptions administration and much more!

Practice Administration

Secretaries

The secretarial team help facilitate all referrals within the practice, made by our clinicians. They undertake a range of duties from the clinical team.

Our Allied Health Professionals

The Practice works alongside many other health professionals, not directly employed by the Practice, who help to support and treat our patient population.

Some examples of these professionals include Pharmacists, Dieticians, Social Prescribing Link Workers and First Contact Physiotherapists.
